Advances in Manufacturing: Present and Future
One-Day Workshop

The Advanced Materials Engineering Research Institute (AMERI) at Florida International University invites you to attend a one-day workshop highlighting the latest advances in manufacturing techniques. The workshop will include lectures and demonstrations on the current state of the art and future outlook of a wide range of manufacturing techniques including additive and subtractive manufacturing, machining, thermal spray technology, fast sintering, fiber reinforced composite panel layup and fabrication, and micro- and nanomanufacturing and electronic packaging. The applications of manufacturing techniques are for a variety of applications including corrosion and wear resistant ceramic, metal, and polymer coatings for marine, bridges, and infrastructure industry, aircraft structures and component reclamation, biomedical implants, automotive industry, sensors, and electronics. The workshop will include lectures from leading experts and laboratory/facilities tours and technology demonstrations.
